About this Event

New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center

This is the last open mic Art Meetup event of the year in NYC, and our biggest live performance gathering yet.

Join us for an intimate afternoon of live music, poetry, spoken word, storytelling, and original performances from independent artists across New York City.

Experience the Stage

Live singers, musicians, poets, storytellers, and multidisciplinary performers sharing original work inside one of New York City’s most respected cultural institutions.

This is a room built for artists to be heard, audiences to be fully present, and meaningful creative connections to happen naturally.

What to Expect

  • Live music and original songs
  • Poetry, spoken word, and storytelling
  • Powerful emerging performers
  • An attentive and supportive audience
  • Opportunities to meet musicians, artists, and collaborators
  • A memorable NYC performance experience

A Major Opportunity for Independent Performers

For selected artists, this is a rare opportunity to perform inside a Lincoln Center cultural institution, share your work with an engaged audience, connect with fellow performers and collaborators, and add a meaningful New York City performance to your creative journey.

Limited Performance Opportunities

Performance slots are extremely limited.

Priority will be given to artists who have previously attended, performed, volunteered, or supported The Art Meetup. Completing the performer form does not guarantee a performance slot. The final setlist will be selected day of at the discretion of Lailani Gibson based on timing, event flow, and overall program balance.

Help Make the Performance Possible

Your ticket or donation helps cover sound, production support, seating, equipment, transportation, promotion, and the labor required to create a thoughtful live performance space where independent artists are treated with care.

Please contribute $5, $10, $20, or more when you RSVP.
