Join the USPML at Sparrow's Nest Studio for our biweekly "learn and play" meetup! Maybe you've seen people playing mahjong in movies like Crazy Rich Asians, or video games like the Yakuza series or Final Fantasy XIV. Maybe you're already familiar with the game, but are looking to grow your skills. This is your chance to jump in, toss some tiles around, and see what it's all about.
If you're a novice, the first hour or two of the meetup will be our Riichi "Jumpstart" where our teachers will show you the ropes and make sure you're comfortable getting started. If you've only played online or if you're familiar with other styles of mahjong, we can give you a quick rules and etiquette primer that will have you ready to play in no time. This meetup is a beginner-friendly and welcoming environment, and we're always happy to meet new players.
