Thai SongKran Celebration

Come celebrate Songkran, Thailand’s traditional New Year, with us at San Jose Learning Center on Sunday, April 13th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Hosted by our Thai instructor Ann, this fun and welcoming event is open to everyone and offers a great mix of culture, food, and games. We’ll kick things off with a Thai Alphabet Time Attack, where you can test your skills by putting Thai consonants in order and sorting them into their high, mid, and low classes. Next up is the Som Tum (papaya salad) contest—Thai students will team up to make their best version of this spicy dish, and everyone will get to taste and vote for their favorite. To wrap it all up, we’ll celebrate Songkran the traditional way by splashing water, so don’t forget to bring a water gun and a change of clothes—we’re all going to get soaked! It’s going to be a fun, festive, and interactive way to experience Thai culture, and we’d love for you to be a part of it.

All friends are welcome to attend! The $15 fee is applicable to any group class at SJLC.
