A visual introduction to some of the medieval buildings in the Newbury area, built across nearly 300 years from c.1200. The buildings range from Donnington Castle to timber-framed houses, and include churches which illustrate the different phases of Gothic architecture: Early English, Decorated and Perpendicular.
David Peacock has researched, written about and taught the history of West Berkshire and the Newbury area for many years. He is the author of the 2011 edition of The Story of Newbury.
