Unlocking the benefits of Dyson Farming Research membership
About this Event
This event is specifically designed for arable growers who want to better understand how independent, field-scale research can support on-farm decision-making. It offers a practical insight into what being a member of Dyson Farming Research involves, and the value it can deliver to your business.
As part of the day, you will take part in a detailed field session at the Dyson Farming Research Centre, where we will walk through a range of live trials currently underway. This provides growers intersted in membership an insight into the work that underpin our results and discussions.
Trials on show will include:
- Variety performance and crop genetics – large-scale comparisons of commercial wheat varieties under local conditions
- Nitrogen management strategies – exploring different application timings and split strategies to improve efficiency and return on investment
- Biostimulant evaluation – independent assessment of products under both full and reduced nitrogen regimes
- Crop protection approaches – comparisons of fungicide programmes, from reduced-input systems to more intensive strategies
- Low emission farming systems – approaches aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of arable production
- New products and partner-led trials – evaluating emerging technologies and inputs with industry collaborators
- Decision-support tools and forecasting – assessing tools to support more informed, in-season agronomic decisions
- Novel inputs and innovations – including work on microalgae-based biostimulants and other developing technologies
This is a chance to see trials in the field, discuss approaches directly with the research team, and understand how membership provides access to independent, practical data to support better on-farm decisions.
