ENTRANCE FEE: Sliding Scale: $10-$20I will be playing even more awesome music showing the beautiful variety of waltz: cross-step, rotary, country, and folk waltzes! Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just love the magic of the waltz, please come and enjoy this beloved dance!
We will have two sets of LIVE VIOLIN MUSIC by Mara Kim
And a Schottis Demo by Eglė Tschinkel & Stuart Spencer
RULES: Everyone is welcome to this All Ages Dance!
No partner needed. Waltz is a social dance and most change partners regularly.
Be kind. Anyone can ask anyone to dance.
Anyone can decline a dance for any reason.
Though you are welcome to dance traditional gender roles, anyone who wants to can lead and anyone who wants to can follow. Harassment will not be tolerated. Do not teach on the dancefloor unless someone asks for help.
No aerials or alcohol—we don't have the insurance. No drugs or smoking on the premises.
Practice good floorcraft. Accidental bumps happen—apologize and move on. If you experience a problem, please speak to me or one of the door staff.
PRACTICAL ADVICE: No drinks will be served at this event. Bring a water bottle. Dancing is sweaty business. Wear what you feel comfortable and confident to dance in. Some people will wear costumes or formalwear, others will dance in jeans. All welcome.
