Summer Solstice Sound Bath: Solstice, Yoga Day & Community Celebration
About this Event
Step out of the busy routine and ground yourself in the beauty of nature. Join Mariah of Moonshine Healing and Brian of Sound Healing MN for a special, donation-based community gathering at Minnehaha Regional Park.
We are gathering on Sunday, June 21st at 9:30 AM to honor a unique intersection of powerful seasonal themes. This morning marks the Summer Solstice (the longest day of the year), International Yoga Day, and Father's Day.
An Inclusive Space for Everyone This gathering is open to every single member of our community. Whether you are looking to celebrate a father figure, honor supportive male energy in your life, connect with family, or simply dedicate a peaceful morning entirely to your own self-care, you are welcome here exactly as you are.
The Experience
We will begin at 9:30 AM. The morning will flow through the following elements:
- The Grounding & Yoga (20 Minutes): In celebration of International Yoga Day, we will begin with gentle, accessible guided movement and light yoga to release physical tension and connect with the earth.
- The Outdoor Immersion (60 Minutes): A deep immersion sound bath. Relax on the grass and let the resonant frequencies of acoustic instruments and crystal singing bowls soothe your nervous system under the open sky.
- The Community Linger: We invite you to stay after the sound bath to soak up the morning sun, rest in the grass, and enjoy the park together.
Post-Event Community Highlights
We encourage you to stick around and enjoy the beautiful surroundings after we wrap up:
- Explore the Park: Take a short walk over to see the iconic Minnehaha Falls, which is located right nearby.
- Lunch & Patio Dining: The famous Sea Salt Eatery is located right in the park and opens its doors at 11:00 AM, making it the perfect spot to grab food, a drink, and keep the community conversation going.
Intentional Themes
We hold these backdrops as the inspiration for our gathering:
- Summer Solstice: Welcoming the official arrival of summer and embracing the high-energy peak of the solar year.
- International Day of Yoga: Celebrating global wellness with intentional physical movement to ground ourselves in the present moment.
- Father's Day: Creating a peaceful, supportive environment to honor family, fathers, and supportive male energy in our lives.
Registration & Investment
This event is entirely donation-based (free/pay-what-you-can). We believe these wellness practices should be fully accessible to everyone. If you are in a position to give, donations will be gratefully accepted at the event via cash or digital payment to support our hosts and future community events.
Please reserve a free ticket so we can keep an accurate head count and send you the exact location update on the morning of the event.
Logistics & Arrival
- Exact Spot in the Park: Minnehaha Regional Park is big, and we want to find the most peaceful open grassy area available that morning. We will email all registered ticket holders and post to our social media pages by 9:00 AM on Sunday morning with our exact location coordinates and visual landmarks. Look for our setup in the grass!
- Parking: Paid parking lots are available inside the park system (payable via the MplsParking or Flowbird apps). Free street parking can also be found in the residential neighborhoods directly surrounding the park and near Longfellow Gardens. Please give yourself a few extra minutes to park and walk to our spot.
- What to Bring: Please wear comfortable clothes suitable for gentle outdoor stretching. Please bring your own outdoor setup: a yoga mat, a blanket and/or pillow if desired, and an eye mask or sunglasses since we will be in the open daytime light.
