About this Event

🎡 Welcome to the Studio Voices Summer Music Camp! 🎢

Experience the dynamic environment of Studio Voices Summer Music Camp. New this year, we are offering two specialized tracks for students. Whether you're into harmonies, crafting compositions, or studio techniques, our camp is your platform for musical exploration.

Held at the beautiful Niemeyer Center for Performing Arts on the Oregon City campus, students will spend 5 days immersed in a welcoming and creative college-campus setting. Come as you are; all musical skill levels are welcome!

🌟 Event Highlights:

Choral Track: Immerse yourself in the world of choral singing! Ideal for those who enjoy harmonizing in a group, our Choral Track offers more than just melodies. You'll participate in dynamic rehearsals, engage in music fundamentals/theory, and explore the basics of crafting songs alongside fellow campers. Directed by Dr. Kathleen Hollingsworth, CCC's Director of Vocal Music. View the "Agenda" tabs for details. Note that the Choral Track does not include a recording session.

Recording Track: Step into the realm of audio recording and production with our Recording Track! Tailored for singer-songwriters and audio enthusiasts, this track gives students the opportunity to learn recording basics and collaborate with other campers. Get a crash-course in Pro Tools recording software, record original tracks, and run studio sessions. From learning live performance recording skills to recording new music in the studio, you'll unlock new possibilities in audio creation. Directed by Dave Badstubner, CCC's Music Technology program director. View the "Agenda" tabs for details. Note that the Recording Track does not include traditional choir.

Friday Concert: Conclude the camp with a performance by the choir and singer/songwriters, while recording students have the opportunity to record live, documenting the performances. It's a culmination of the week's learning and a celebration of musical creativity!

Camp Scholarship Opportunity: We are excited to offer a camp scholarship for experienced rhythm section musicians! This opportunity allows talented pianists, bassists, and drummers to play with the choir and participate in studio sessions. Interested applicants should send a video audition showcasing their skills.
