STOTT PILATES® Prenatal Pilates on the V2 Max Plus™ Reformer

This innovative workshop, developed by the Merrithew® team, focuses on the use of the V2 Max Plus™ Reformer’s adjustable pulley system and extensor straps to create safe and effective workouts for moms-to-be. Drawing on the latest medical information and ACOG guidelines, anatomical and physiological changes, risk factors and movement considerations are discussed regarding programming options for this very special population. Appropriate STOTT PILATES® exercise adaptations are explored using the unique features of the Reformer including the height-adjustable pulleys and completely customizable settings. Trainers will easily recognize the benefits of using this highly adaptable unit to keep prenatal workouts fresh and motivating. 0.2 CEC's
STOTT PILATES® Reformer for the Older Adult

Explore the benefits of working on the Reformer for the older adult in this interactive workshop, developed by the Merrithew® team. Despite decrements associated with aging, the ability to adapt to endurance and strength training is well documented. The Reformer provides widely variable spring tensions to address both upper and lower body as well as core training. Modifications of exercises and considerations for limited mobility and strength issues are discussed to help enhance core stability, increase lean muscle mass, increase range of motion, and improve body awareness. 0.2 CEC's
