Storytelling Class with Story District @ SPRUNG! Comedy Festival

Join the Art of Storytelling . With this 90-minute workshop, you’ll learn the basics of crafting and sharing personal stories with a focus on structure, scene, stakes, and perspective. Story District's signature fun and supportive approach is perfect for beginners or anyone looking to spark ideas, hone a story, or meet your neighbors.

This class is offered as part of SPRUNG! Comedy Festival which is Silver Spring's very own comedy festival. Over four nights in March 2026, Improbable Comedy will present 10 unique shows of hilarious comedy at the Silver Spring Black Box Theatre, along with comedy classes and events.

About Improbable Comedy: Founded in 2012 by social-worker-turned-comedy-producer Kim Levone, Improbable Comedy has hosted hundreds of shows in local venues around the DMV. The goal has been to transform the industry by giving the mic to hilarious comedians who have been underrepresented on stage. Since our first show at Vicino's restaurant, we have brought big laughs to theatres, bars, swanky clubs, and people's homes. We now have regular shows at Busboys & Poets and the Arts Barn as well as partnerships with the Montgomery Parks Department and at the Silver Spring Black Box Theatre. SPRUNG! Parking: The Black Box is a short walk from the Silver Spring metro and there is parking in the area garages on Ellsworth and Cameron St.
