To You, of Infinite Possibility,

I hope this letter finds you strong and brings you a measure of warmth in this long, cold winter.

I am “Possibility,” the lion mascot of The Third Space, and I sincerely invite you to join us on March 8, 2026 at 2:00 PM (please note that daylight saving time will already be in effect on that day) for the Grand Opening Party of The Third Space.

We are an independent arts and community space dedicated to building a safe, diverse, and intellectually vibrant environment for the young, Chinese-speaking diaspora in the DMV area with an interest in social justice in China. Here you will find books, stand-up comedy, music, film screenings, exhibitions, creative workshops, and outdoor activities. We believe you will encounter many compelling and kindred spirits here.

On the opening day, we will have live band and stand-up comedy performances, exhibitions on Chinese feminism movements, a pop-up market, raffle activities, and light refreshments. I, Possibility the lion, will also dance with you! The program schedule and announcements of special guests are as below!

Location: 2nd Floor, 1111 East West Highway, Silver Spring, MD 20910

(We apologize that there is no public parking available in the garage downstairs. However, there are plenty of metered street parking spaces across the street and nearby. If you are arriving by Metro, please ask us for more detailed direction if needed.)

In this harsh winter, let us gather strength, keep one another warm, and await the coming of spring and renewed vitality. As lions who thrive in community, my co-workers and I believe in the power of collectives. Beyond home and work, we hope to connect with each other so that ideals and possibilities may endure—ever becoming, infinite in threes.
