Story Stones & Family Wishes
About this Event
Join us for Story Stones & Family Wishes at Little Nestlings Early Learning Center.
This free Community Saturday invites young children and their families into a gentle morning of storytelling, creativity, and connection.
Children will choose a smooth stone, add simple marks, colors, symbols, or natural patterns, and use it as a starting point for a small story, feeling, or idea.
Families will also be invited to write or draw a simple wish for the season and add it to a shared Little Nestlings community bowl. The activity is warm, open-ended, and designed to help families feel welcomed into the Little Nestlings environment.
This event reflects the Reggio Emilia-inspired belief that children communicate in many languages: through marks, materials, stories, movement, relationships, and play.
Featured child activity:
Create a story stone and family wish.
Children will choose a smooth stone and use washable markers, paint pens, or collage materials to create a simple symbol, pattern, face, place, or feeling. Families may add a written or drawn wish for the season to a shared community bowl.
