Learn Kinusaiga with The Bridge!
About this Event
Kinusaiga is a contemporary Japanese art form that combines elements of traditional textile techniques with modern materials and methods. It involves creating intricate fabric collages by pressing fabric scraps into pre-cut grooves on a foam board, resulting in textured, layered artworks without the need for sewing. This technique offers a tactile and visually rich alternative to conventional quilting or embroidery.
This craft has been taking social media by storm and we are HOOKED! Come join us as we share what we've learned and make your own fabric collage!
We list the event as free, but we do kindly ask for a $5 donation to cover materials. However, no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please join us at the starting time of 2pm as we will be beginning the class with instruction and there is not time to repeat everything again!
This event is hosted at a church but it is NOT a church event. There will be NO church talk; just a free community-building event that allows us all to take a break in our busy lives to do something that's good for ourself and our community. We hope you will join us!
