Celebrate midsummer with Stone Age activities, and enjoy bookable one-to-one, fire-by-friction workshops with Luke Atterton of Red Squirrel Ancestral Skills.
On the longest day of the year travel back tens of thousands of years to a time of hunter gatherers, flint tools and cave paintings!
This family‑friendly solstice event includes hands‑on activities and live demonstrations that will help you discover Stone Age Somerset.
What to expect:
🪨Explore the Stone Age with drop in activities.
Spend time discovering the remarkable Neolithic archaeology of the Somerset Levels and get up close to ancient skills and materials.
🔥 Mini Fire‑by‑Friction workshop (Booking Required).
Join Luke Atterton of Red Squirrel Ancestral Skills for a special fire‑by‑friction session.
These are small, close-knit workshops with a limited‑capacity of up to 5 people, and are perfect for adults or children over age 7.
