About this Event
Join art historian and writer Francesca Ramsay for a tour of the exhibition, ‘Harry Brockway: Ways with Wood’ followed by a walk following in Harry’s footsteps as we climb Glastonbury Tor.
Join Francesca for a private viewing of the exhibition before we open the museum to the public. Francesca will share more about Harry’s remarkable career as a wood engraver, details of how the exhibition was put together, and the stories behind some of the works.
This will be followed by a guided walk up Glastonbury Tor, a place Harry took his daily walk heading out from the studio at the bottom of his garden. We will pause enroute to discover more about Harry and his approach to life and art.
On returning to the Museum a restorative treat of tea, coffee and cake will be served.
Need to Know:
- The walk is around 2.5 miles and includes the very steep ascent and descent of the Tor. Please come dressed for the weather and wearing appropriate footwear.
- Please bring your own drink, especially if it is a warm day.
- You will need a reasonable level of fitness to complete this walk.
