In 1685 twenty-nine Glastonbury men fought for Liberty & Property, for King Monmouth, for Religion, for Freedom. This is the story of the Monmouth Rebellion and the Bloody Assizes told through the eyes of these local men. This is the tale of training, battle, slavery, betrayal, and for some freedom. These are the events that turned Somerset into a butchers shambles, and this is the story of those Glastonbury Rebels.
