Lindy Hop is one of the original Swing dances, made famous in the ballrooms of Harlem. Danced to a wide range of tempos, the music is traditionally big band Swing from the golden era of Jazz. Improvisation and rhythmical play are tied to Lindy Hop’s styling and spirit.Stomp Off Party swings the standards with depth & vibrancy, bringing together voices from all corners of the Eugene jazz community (and beyond!) under the bandleading of Shane Allen. Polyphonic and multigenerational, Stomp Off Party is collaboration at its best, digging into the American Songbook from all directions, delivering riffs and rhythms tuned expressly for dancing.

FREE Drop-In Beginner Lesson: 9:00pm to 9:30pm
Social Dance: 9:30pm to 12:00am

$25 for Dance | $15 with proof of student status
