About this Event
Spirituality in Nature: A Discussion on Salaat and Nature with Imam Johari Abdul-Malik
Come join us for a spiritually enriching experience at Kenilworth Park & Aquatic Gardens where Imam Johari Abdul-Malik will lead a walk and discussion exploring the connection between spirituality and nature through the practice of salaat.
Salaat, the ritual prayer prescribed in Islam, involves a number of repetitive cycles of physical movements, all signifying submission to God. Imam Johari will lead a discussion of how salaat not only helps us connect with the Divine but also grounds us and helps us connect with God’s Earth.
Green Muslims welcomes you for a unique opportunity to connect with God in the midst of nature's wonder!
Please note: this event is for adults, but children 12 and over (with a ticket) who are attentive and interested in the event may join their parents.
Ticket fees are required per person for all attendees. A few scholarship tickets are available for this event. Please reach out to [email protected] for more information.
*This program is made possible by a grant from Mind & Life Institute.
