Mystic's Spectacular Sunday Night Series returns this season in full-force, premiering with Bonnie Dellerose's "Baddies Love Bandhas".
An integrel component of the ancient science of yoga, bandhas are "locks" or "binds" that involve conscious, controlled muscular contractions to seal and direct vital life force energy (prana) within the body, rather than letting it flow outward. They are considered key to increasing spiritual energy, enhancing concentration, and supporting overall health by regulating energy flow, which can revitalize organs, strengthen the core, and bring stability to asana practice. The three main bandhas are Mula Bandha (root lock), Uddiyana Bandha (abdominal lock), and Jalandhara Bandha (chin lock).
Join Bonnie Dellerose, owner and creator of Renew Body Sequence, a yoga-based somatic movement practice designed to support trauma and grief recovery, as she shares a unique take on the bandhas that will strengthen your core, and improve your posture and confidence. Please bring your mat and towel, and a bottle of water. The room may be warm. Chamomile tea will be served. 75 minutes. No yoga experience necessary. All-levels. Please pre-register.
