Please join PETA and local activists as we speak up for the victims of the leather industry.
The leather industry is one that is a product of extreme cruelty and torture.
Castration, branding, tail docking, and dehorning without painkillers are just a few of the standard practices in the leather industry.
In Brazil cows are branded on their faces, electroshocked and beaten before they are mercilessly slaughtered to make shoes, belts and car interiors just to name a few products.
In addition toxic chemicals are used in the processing of leather resulting in workers suffering many health problems including cancer.
Not to mention the chemicals polluting nearby soil and water supplies.
We will have signs and leaflets.
We are going to meet at the Starbucks in the 3rd street promenade at 1356 3rd street in Santa Monica and walk a short distance to the demo location. A well known seller of high end leather goods.
Please come to speak out for the victims of this horrible industry.
