About this Event

Preparing for Martyns Law is a must for anyone involved in health and safety, security or counter terrorism. This engaging session is open to IOSH members and anyone interested in understanding the impact of the proposed legislation on workplaces, venues and public facing environments.

Delivered by a Counter Terrorism Security Advisor from Cheshire Police, with nearly 30 years of policing experience, this session combines real world insight with practical guidance. The speaker is a retired UK Police Detective and now Director of a specialist security consultancy, offering expert advice across physical, personnel, behavioural and cyber security.

You will gain a clear and practical overview of Martyns Law, including the expected duties, proportional approach, and risk assessment requirements. The session will also explore how safety professionals can play a key role in helping organisations prepare for compliance with the Terrorism Protection of Premises Bill.

Attendees will leave with a stronger understanding of security risk management and actionable steps to support safer, more resilient environments.

This is an in‑person event. Please only register if you are able to travel to the venue.
