Nordic Walking Course - Lake District, Staveley Mill Yard, Kendal

Learn the Nordic walking technique in the Lake District on this introductory course at Staveley Mill Yard, Kendal, led by qualified instructor Sean Bolland.
Nordic walking is not just walking with poles. It is a complete technique that transforms the way your body moves across the ground, engaging your whole body, improving efficiency, and making every mile feel different. In the space of one morning you will go from two legs to four, learning how to use Leki poles correctly, how to move with free and fluid rhythm over the ground, and why our guides genuinely believe four legs are better than two in the fells. You will even learn to skip with your poles for strength and fitness. It sounds unlikely. It works.
This course covers around three miles at a relaxed pace and is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. If you are comfortable with a gentle three mile walk you will enjoy this.
Leki Nordic Walking poles are supplied and fitted to you on the day. Sean strongly recommends you do not buy poles before attending as sizing and technique go hand in hand. After the course there is the opportunity to buy from the Hiking Highs range of Leki poles at 10% off retail price.
Led by Sean Bolland, a qualified Nordic walking instructor based in the Lake District.
