About this Event

Cumbria is a county steeped in myth and legend, where the supernatural has a habit of breaking through into everyday life. From the eerie voice said to drift across Windermere and the unexplained smell of mud in dry cellars, to the gruesome death of a cruel lord whose ghost was reportedly seen for years afterwards, and the mysterious woman who appears in a photograph hanging on the wall of a Kendal pub, the county is rich with unsettling tales.

In this short talk, local author and ghost walk guide Simon Kurt Unsworth explores some of Cumbria's strangest and most chilling ghostly encounters, uncovering the stories that continue to haunt the county - even on the brightest of days.
