Exploring the history of medicinal herbalism in Cumbria.
About this Event

Medical herbalist and environmental archaeologist, Suzi Richer, takes us on a journey through the past practice of Cumbrian herbal medicine in the home. Drawing on sources such as botanical remains from archaeological sites, archival information, oral history, published sources and the herbs themselves, Suzi weaves a story to show how people supported their health from the landscape they lived in and how we can learn from those people and the plants around them.
The talk will include a taster of herbal tea and the opportunity to share your own memories of herbal medicine.
