About this Event
We will gather and discuss the neighbourhood's history, visit local businesses and look at how the area is growing and changing. Meet at the Marda Loop Communities hall, formerly the South Calgary Community Hall, for a look at some historical photos. Continue to the Giuffre Family library, formerly Alexander Calhoun library, visit the South Calgary No. 5 firehall and look at a recently painted utility box on 14th Street SW with a bee theme. Continue on to explore the coffee shops and restaurants on 29th Avenue SW. Walk back to cspace, formerly King Edward School, and then return to the hall. Learn more about your community or discover a new one!
WALK NOTES: Steep slopes, uneven terrain, no dogs please (except service dogs), will use speakers / voice amplification
