Join musician and songwriter Kevin Matthews from PLUK for a creative songwriting workshop exploring how melodies can inspire songs.
In this session, participants will discover how humming, singing, rhythm and musical ideas can develop into complete song concepts. They’ll experiment with pitch, repetition and musical phrases, while exploring how verses and choruses work together to create songs and communicate feelings.
No previous songwriting experience, musical training or ability to play an instrument is needed. This supportive workshop is suitable for beginners as well as young musicians who want to develop their creativity and confidence.
Suitable for children aged 7–11. Children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult throughout the session.
