Music Production – Make Tracks from the World Around You

Did you know you can make music from the sounds around you?
Join musician and producer Kevin Matthews from PLUK for a fun, hands-on workshop exploring how everyday sounds can be transformed into original music.
Using a smart phone or tablet, participants will record sounds from the world around them before turning them into beats, rhythms and musical textures. Together, they'll build an original track from scratch, adding chords, bass and effects before mixing everything into a finished piece of music.
No previous music production or recording experience is needed, just bring your phone or tablet. This creative workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as young people with an interest in music, technology and creativity.
Suitable for ages 12 -17. Children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult throughout the session.
