Join Alissa Vreeland, psychotherapist turned trauma-trained somatic coach and yoga teacher for a somatic yoga practice rooted in support for your nervous system as you heal from the stress of hurricane season.

When natural disasters strike close to home, it sends our bodies and nervous systems into a hyper-vigilant, mobiziling state. We use this energy to prepare us to fight (hunker down) or flee (evacuate the area). When everything settles down, it is really common to get stuck in a freeze response-- where you feel numb, exhausted, apathetic, zoned-out, etc. Or, to remain stuck in fight/flight energy until collapse eventually occurs.

This class is designed to support you in gently guiding your body back to a state of calm and regulation while releasing the stress you've been storing.

It will end with a 15-minute restorative sound bath with Stacy Tarter.
