This is a Somatic Dance - ‘Somatic’ means body-based awareness. Somatic dance can be compared more closely to an Ecstatic dance rather than a regular structured dance class. You, the participant will have free autonomy over your movements with few rules, However, it will be guided with invitational language, prompting you to fall deeper into your body’s wisdom. It is essentially an embodiment movement class. This is a dance with self, a personal journey although in a group setting. I encourage no speaking, no shoes, presence with oneself. You do not need to know how to dance, all you will need is curiosity to listen to your body. The Theme is letting go, embodying what it would feel like to release any attachment of the parts of you holding you back from true liberation and joy. This will be an intimate container, where all of you is welcome.
