The Somatic Choir is an invitation to a holistic experience of one's own voice and that of the collective, as well as to create a mindful space together in which we can have fun and enjoy sounds together.
The aim is to form a permanent group, but newcomers are welcome at any time.

What does the Somatic Choir focus on?
It focusses on choral singing / collective singing in a holistic form: the conscious experiencing the voice in one's own body, in space, with other voices.
🔸intensive warm-ups of body and voice
🔸improvisation, sound experiments, elements from circle singing, games
🔸Learning songs by ear
🔸Working on polyphonic songs and canons (international folk, pop, swing, chanson)
All levels are welcome. Knowledge of music is useful, but not a prerequisite.
The decision for the vocal range is up to you, there will be no conventional division into "women's" and "men's" voices.

Price:
🔸10-15€ | drop-in, sliding scale
sliding scale, depending on income and self-assessment
If you have a stable income on which you can live well, then the full price is appropriate.
The reduced price is intended for people who have a very low income.
Please pay the choir director directly on site.

Der Somatic Choir ist eine Einladung zur ganzheitlichen Erfahrung der eigenen Stimme und der des Kollektivs, eine Einladung dazu, zusammen einen achtsamen Raum zu schaffen, in dem wir mit Spaß und Neugierde gemeinsame Klänge erforschen und genießen können.
Eine feste Gruppe wird angestrebt, Neu-Einsteigende sind jederzeit willkommen.

Was fokussiert der Somatic Choir?
Im Fokus steht das Chorsingen/ kollektives Singen in einer ganzheitlichen Form: das bewußte Erfahren von Stimme im eigenen Körper, im Raum, mit anderen Stimmen.
🔸intensive Warm Ups von Körper und Stimme
🔸Improvisation, Klang-Experimente, Elemente aus dem Circle Singing, Spiele
🔸Lieder lernen nach Gehör
🔸Erarbeiten von mehrstimmigen Liedern und Kanons (international Folk, Pop, Swing, Chanson)
Alle Level sind willkommen. Notenkenntnisse sind praktisch, aber keine Voraussetzung.
Die Entscheidung für die Stimmlage liegt bei dir, eine herkömmliche Einteilung in “Frauen”- und “Männer”-Stimmen wird es nicht geben.
