Snowshoe or Winter Hike at Sugarloaf Cove

Event Description: Sugarloaf Cove is a unique bay on Lake Superior, surrounded by 34 acres of forest. The Cove is renowned for its 1.1-billion-year-old lava flows and features a gorgeous cobblestone beach, perfect for exploring.

Need to Know: Dress for the weather! Plan to be outside for about 2 hours. If the snow is light and fluffy, we’ll wear snowshoes. If the trail is packed or icy, we’ll opt for ice trekkers. Trips could be cancelled if temperatures drop below -15 degrees with windchill.

Level of Difficulty: Easy

Ages: 6+, but anyone under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. We are unable to put car seats in our shuttle vehicle so any families with kiddos under 8 years old will need to drive separately.
