The Panhurst Seminar series, AI in Healthcare theme, is very excited to welcome Dr Michal Pruski for a talk on November 27th at 12:30 at Vaughan House @ University of Manchester. Talk details are as follows (and please note, Michal will be joining us remotely due to work constraints):
Should we be seeking patient consent to the use of AI technologies in clinical care? This talk will look at the reasoning of for obtaining patient consent, consider how AI-enhanced care differs from ‘traditional’ care, and look at the practicalities surrounding obtaining patient consent. The talk will include discussion of legal considerations, but will focus on the ethical questions surrounding patient consent and medical AI.
Speaker bio:
Dr Michal Pruski is a senior clinical scientist at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board and a Higher Specialist Scientist Trainee in Health informatics completing his DClinSci at the University of Manchester. He has a long-standing academic and professional interest in Bioethics.
The talk will be open for both in person and online attendance.
