The Weekly Mantra Jam

This is a space for improvised sound from the heart. We will sound out a mix of structured songs like rounds and mantras, playfully shared with an invitation to join, and totally free sound making. This is an event which is different every week. Typically we sing songs in English, Sanskrit, Arabic, Hebrew and sometimes Yoruban or any other sacred song someone brings with them. The 'unity in diversity' phrase really rings true here. All are welcome.

Each week we endeavour to flow with where the muses gesture, with a cup of tea and some warm hearts and blankets around us. Space for your experience to be your own, space to share some magic. Pay as you feel for this alcohol and drug free space. Dogs (if they're friendly) are welcome. All donations go toward funds for buying some community owned land up north.

Our attendees regularly report a transformational shift in their experience with their voice. So much is often locked up in our throats: we've been taught since we were little to be quiet, to listen, to express only what a system deems 'correct'. Here is a space to play, and see what is there when we let whatever sound is in us out. No judgement, no way of doing it wrong, just a simple request that we all keep listening whilst expressing.
