SEND Inclusive Leisure Fair

Join us at the Britannia Leisure Centre for a fun-filled afternoon at the SEND Inclusive Leisure Fair! This event is all about promoting inclusive and accessible leisure activities for children and young people with additional needs.* Siblings are also welcome.*

Come and discover new hobbies, meet SEND-friendly leisure providers, and enjoy a day of excitement and entertainment.

*Please note that the hall can become loud and busy.
There will be a quiet room available. We recommend bringing sensory tools such as headphones if beneficial.

*Please ensure there are enough family members/carers present to safely supervise your children throughout the event.

SWIMMING: SENSORY DISCO SESSION**
12.00-1pm
An inclusive disco… with a twist! Dance, splash and socialise in Britannia Leisure Centre’s sensory pool. Their pool uses multi sensory technology and reduces noise to create a calm environment for swimming.

If you would like to register for Sensory Disco, you must email Allie Nelkon and specify the names and ages of the people you are booking for and the name of the adult bringing them: [email protected]

** Please be aware that Swim Safely Rules apply: One parent/carer must be in the pool for each 2 children who cannot swim or are under 8 years old.

OTHER TASTER SESSIONS AND ACTIVITIES

• 1-4pm Hackney Tennis
• 1-4pm Artburst will be running arts and crafts activities
• 1-4pm Young Hackney will be running multisports activities
• 4-5pm Soft Play (book on the day at Better stall)
• 1-4pm - Bouncy Castle
• Face-painting
• Bubbleologist (Bubble show)

STALLS

- 1 - 4pm: HIT Squad, Better, Short Breaks, and more to be confirmed
- Leaside PaddleAbility will be bringing a kayak to share their upcoming SEND watersports programme
- Laburnum Boat Club
