About this Event

This session will be facilitated by the Self-Harm Network Scotland (SHNS). The SHNS is passionate about raising awareness and reducing stigma around self-harm. Their aim is to deliver informative training and resources to help improve understanding of self-harm.

This session is designed to give participants an in-depth understanding of self-harm, as well as practical advice and guidance in how to support someone who is self-harming.

These sessions will cover topics including:

  • Underlying causes of self-harm
  • Functions of self-harm
  • Practical guidance in supporting people who self-harm
  • Harm minimisation
  • Recovery

This sessions will include group activities and discussion, whislt exploring a range of case studies.


Please note this session will be subject to minimum and maximum numbers.
