School of Chemistry - Public Lecture 2026
About this Event
School of Chemistry Public Lecture
Presented by Prof. Georgina Such, University of Melbourne
Title: Responsive Nanoparticles: The Future of Drug Delivery
Nanoparticles are extremely small materials that can be engineered to respond to specific biological stimuli, triggering structural changes that enable controlled release of therapeutic cargo. This presentation will explore the design of these responsive nanoparticles for targeted drug delivery applications. It will provide an overview of the history and development of nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems, before highlighting recent research undertaken at the University of Melbourne on responsive nanoparticles and their application to the delivery of nucleic acid therapeutics.
Join us after the lecture for a reception, with drinks and canepes, and an opportunity to meet the speaker.
