Saudan Couloir - Ski Race Extreme presented by Helly Hansen

The extreme race of legend and lore, it will bring out legends of ski and snowboard racing, big mountain pros, and a healthy dose of amateur skiers and snowboarders who aren’t afraid to charge.

Athlete Check-in and Snowcial Hour

6:00pm - 8:00pm: Collect race package, bib and poster. Join us for the Couloir Extreme Athlete Check-in and “Snowcial Hour” — where the stoke is high, the snacks are plenty, and prizes are up for grabs! Meet, mingle, and fuel up with food and drinks before the Saturday morning fun begins down the Saudan Couloir!

"Take in the action from the Helly Hansen Winter Viewing Area, on Jersey Cream Wall, overlooking the race course. With comfortable seating, warm drinks, tasty snacks, and chances to win prizes, it’s the perfect spot to relax, cheer on the athletes, and soak up the winter atmosphere.

8:00am - 8:30am: Late Check-in, Blackcomb Day Lodge

9:30am - 10:15am: Partial Course Inspection (Bibs Mandatory) Saudan Couloir - Accessible from 7th Heaven Chair.

10:35am: Course Sweep. Athletes start to clear course.

10:45am: Forerunners Start - All competitors must be off the course.

11:00am: Race Start Time. Racers will run in bib number order. Start interval is 1 min.

3:00pm - 5:00pm: Awards & Après.

Same schedule as previous day. All competitors need to be available both days in case of weather impacts

Amateur Categories will feature over $4000 in podium swag and draw prizing thanks to Helly Hansen.

Race running order will be as follows: Oldest to Youngest in each category - Pro Ski, Amateur Ski, Pro Snowboard, Amateur Snowboard.

*Age is as of April 18th, 2026** Age brackets may be adjusted according to registration numbers.
