Join us for a hands-on workshop exploring the traditional art of crafting herbal salves from wild and locally gathered plants. Together, we’ll explore several wild plants commonly used in salve-making, discussing their traditional uses, harvesting considerations, seasonal availability, and the importance of ethical and sustainable foraging practices. We’ll talk about how infused oils are created, how salves are formulated, and ways to safely work with herbal ingredients gathered from the Land around us.
During the hands-on portion of the workshop, participants will work through the full salve-making process step by step, from combining infused oils and waxes to pouring and finishing their own herbal salves. Along the way, we’ll discuss recipe variations, storage, troubleshooting, and practical tips for continuing to experiment confidently at home using seasonal and locally available plants.
We’ll share a meal together and leave plenty of time for questions and discussion in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Participants will leave with one tin of completed salve, recipes, and practical knowledge to support their continued learning journey.
Lunch and other Refreshments are provided.
Participants are invited to stick around for the final half-hour of our time together for additional discussion, troubleshooting, and Q & A.
