Rydal Water and Loughrigg Fell

A perfect way to bag a little Wainwright, visit the infamous Rydal Caves and see stunning Rydal Water!
This is a circular walk of 4.5 miles / 7km and 1,240ft / 378m climb, which will take approx. 3 - 3.5 hours, including some time for exploring the caves.
Its certainly an easier Lake District route than some of the others I have led, recently, but the climb up Loughrigg Fell (335m) and the descent off it is pretty steep and there are some short rocky sections.
From the top you are rewarded with beautiful views of the surrounding lakes and mountains. A truly majestic little route,
