Shockwave Therapy RUNNING INJURY (LOWER LIMB - HIP, KNEE, GROIN)
For STORZ and Venn customers only. 6+ months shockwave experience required.
Shockwave is a non-invasive, evidence-based modality which has been proven to be beneficial in the management of chronic tendinopathies. In this 1-day masterclass, you will cover the application of radial and focused shockwave in common lower limb conditions. Covering key areas to treat the most common injuries for runners, the course combines theory with hands-on application.
The course will begin at 9am and end at approximately 4pm and will be hosted in either our London or Liverpool training centres. There will be a break around midday for lunch, which is provided. Any dietary requirements will be requested after you book.
There will be time once the course ends to ask any specific questions about shockwave therapy or related topics.
Learning outcomes:
- Analyze the physiological benefits and injury risk profiles associated with recreational running.
- Classify common running-related overuse injuries and their associated risk factors.
- Explain the biological mechanisms of Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) and the clinical differences between radial and focused devices.
- Evaluate evidence-based management strategies for: Plantar Fasciitis, Medial Tibial Stress, Chronic tendonopathy, Achilles, Gluteal, Proximal Hamstring
- Integrate ESWT into a multi-modal rehabilitation framework centered on progressive load management and patient education.
