Restorative yoga offers a sanctuary from the stresses of everyday life, providing profound physical and mental benefits through its gentle and nurturing practice. By utilizing props to support the body in restful poses, restorative yoga encourages complete relaxation and the release of tension held in muscles and connective tissues. This practice activates the body's parasympathetic nervous system, fostering a state of deep rest that can lead to reduced stress and anxiety levels, improved immunity, and radical internal healing. It enhances flexibility and joint mobility without exerting the body, making it ideal for individuals of all ages and fitness levels. Because of its effect on lowering cortisol, restorative yoga has been shown to help people lose stubborn body fat even though postures are completely passive. Mentally, restorative yoga cultivates mindfulness and presence, allowing practitioners to slow down and connect with their inner selves, fostering emotional resilience and mental clarity. With regular practice, it can improve sleep quality and promote an overall sense of well-being, making it a powerful tool for holistic health.

Testimonials
Micheline has a vast knowledge of the human body/anatomy, that knowledge combined with her many years of experience and her use of intuition and compassion lend itself to a special training. Micheline’s restorative yoga training was so beneficial not only as a teacher but also for my own practice. She managed to be creative while teaching safe techniques to keep your students away from injury while deepening their relaxation experience. I also appreciate that she has a vast knowledge for pregnant students and has variations in the training for them.

The restorative teacher training weekend with Micheline did not disappoint. I’ve taken Micheline’s classes so I already have an appreciation for her technique, but to delve deeper into the restorative practice was amazing and informative. Micheline shared breathwork techniques, various postures and best use of props for all body types. She was able to teach this beautiful practice of restorative yoga and yoga nidra in a way that I can now apply as I teach.
THANK YOU MICHELINE FOR THIS STAY-CATION!

Learning Restorative Yoga during YTT 200 and the Advanced Training Course was amazing! Micheline was extremely detailed from proper sequencing, to prop usage for every body including pre-natal, to hands on through yoga nidra. I was so prepared from her training that I felt like I had been doing it for years teaching my first class. I highly recommend!

Restorative Yoga is the art of "doing nothing" by creating the space to come into stillness, quieting the mind and allowing the body to sink into deep relaxation for deep healing.
