Join us for a transformative and traditional study of one of yoga’s most foundational texts, the Yoga Sutras of Patañjali. Together, we will chant the sutras, examine multiple translations, and use three different translations to deepen our understanding of their meaning. Each session is designed to help you apply these timeless teachings directly to your modern life and practice.
This series is open to everyone — no prior experience with philosophy or Sanskrit is required. All you need is a genuine curiosity and the desire to expand your yoga practice beyond the physical postures.
What to Expect:
Chanting the sutras together as a group
Study and discussion using three classical translations
Practical guidance for applying yogic philosophy in daily life

Program Structure:
Offered in 4 week modules
Pre-registration is required for each module
Sessions will run for 1 hour
Available in person at our studio in Rockville Centre

The Four Books of the Yoga Sutras
Book I — Samādhi Pada (Contemplation)
Focus: The essence of yoga, the nature of the mind, and the path toward inner stillness.

Book II — Sādhana Pada (Practice)
