Join the National Museum of Railroad History & Innovation for a chance to see behind the scenes in our Restoration Shop!


Come look behind the scenes for a guided tour of our Restoration Shop with our lead restorationists. Explore historic equipment and rolling stock not yet on display, learn about the work that goes into preserving our collection, and discover the tools and equipment our restoration team uses through our new self-guided Tool Tour. Two tour times are now available, so be sure to select your preferred time when purchasing your ticket.

Schedule:
-Doors open: 10 am
-Train Ride Tour 1 boarding: 10:30 am
-Train Ride Tour 1 departure: 10:45 am
-Train Ride Tour 1 arrival: 11 am
-Train Ride Tour 1 returns: 11:45 am
-Train Ride Tour 2 boarding: 11:45 am
-Train Ride Tour 2 departure: 12 pm
-Train Ride Tour 2 arrival/Remaining Tour 1 boarding: 12:15 pm
-Train Ride Tour 1 returns to Museum: 12:30 pm
-Train Ride Tour 2 boarding: 1:15 pm
-Train Ride Tour 2 returns to Museum: 1:30 pm
