Reiki Level I: The First Degree (Shoden)

Come join us at The Reiki Spot for an immersive experience in learning the ancient healing art of Reiki at the beginner level. In this course, you will be introduced to the basic principles and techniques of Reiki, empowering you to channel its energy for self-healing and helping others.

Level I is a practitioner’s initiation into Reiki through education and practice and is open to anyone. The focus during Level I is on opening and expanding the main energy channels of the student’s body, allowing them to connect to the universal life force energy and it to flow more freely and deeply through them.

Learning Objectives:

· The history of Reiki and the Usui lineage of Reiki.

· The ethics and legality of practicing Reiki.

· Preparing yourself, your physical space, and the Reiki recipient.

· Initiate students into Reiki Level I through receiving attunements (a ceremony of empowerment).

· Perform Self-Reiki using the 16 hand positions.

· Confidently perform Reiki and demonstrate using the 16 hand positions.

Students will receive the Reiki Level 1 Manual (PDF) prior to class and a certificate upon completion.
