Join us for RBC's june event as we explore this month's theme via Matt Rudd's book, Man Down: Why Men Are Unhappy & What We Can Do About It
About this Event

About the book:

Sunday Times journalist Matt Rudd spent two years interviewing men in their thirties, forties, and fifties about why so many of them are quietly miserable. The result is funny, honest, and frequently surprising, covering work, marriage, friendship, fatherhood, and mental health. Turns out the system set up by men for men doesn't work for men either. It is making none of us happy.

Why we chose it: "This is the most honest, most revealing — and funniest — exploration of male mental health I have ever read." - Adam Kay, bestselling author of This Is Going to Hurt

Delicious drinks are included, as well as engaging storytelling and space for conversations and sharing.

Interested? Want to join us at our June event?

Try out the club with Eventbrite - new customers only. Ticket price includes access to the Oxford Rebel Book Club event plus a welcome drink (alcoholic + non-alcoholic options available).

Your host for the evening: Andie

Originally from Bilbao, Spain, Andie works in public relations for businesses in the renewable energy sector. In her free time, she's a voracious reader, book blogger and amateur runner. Having spent part of her 20s living in Baku and Moscow has made her drawn to Soviet history and she can't resist a good spy biography.

Andie believes that books are the answer to every question and there is no better tool to help us understand how the world and people work. She's leading RBC Oxford hoping to continue spreading the love for knowledge through a supportive and fun community that comes together for engaging conversations, growing a little with each book and discussion.

Andie's non-fiction recommendations:

1. Agent Sonya by Ben MacIntyre

2. Shoe Dog by Phil Knight

3. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson
