READY, SET… RIDE! – PENZANCE 🚲
We’re excited to announce our first FREE Cycle Skills Taster Event in Penzance!
📅 Monday 26th October
📍 Penzance Recreation Ground
⏰ 10:00–11:00 OR 11:30–12:30
🎟️ FREE – booking required
👧🧒 Ages 4 - 16yrs
The Cornwall Bicycle Project is teaming up with Trelya and Active Cornwall to give young riders living in the Penzance area the chance to have a go at a fun, action-packed cycle skills session, with funding from the Geraint Thomas Cycling Trust.
Expect plenty of riding and loads of different challenges, including:
🚲 Bike-handling skills
🚲 Ramps & obstacles
🚲 Slaloms & technical challenges
🚲 Games & skills activities
🚲 And plenty of fun!
Our coaches will be running structured activities designed to challenge and encourage riders across a wide range of abilities. Riders will be grouped according to ability, helping us make sure everyone gets the most from their session.
WHO CAN TAKE PART?
These sessions are for young riders aged 4 - 16yrs who live in the Penzance area. You’ll be asked to provide the rider’s home postcode when booking.
⚠️ Riders must already be able to pedal independently on two wheels without stabilisers.
We have 40 FREE places available – so advance booking is essential.
AND THERE’S MORE… 🚲
We’ll also be holding a Family Ride and a Learn to Fix Workshop in the afternoon, giving you the chance to make a day of it, learn to maintain your bike or get the whole family riding together!
And Ready, Set… Ride! won’t end there.
We’ll be back in November with additional Saturday Cycle Skills sessions, giving young riders even more opportunities to ride, build confidence, learn new skills and have fun on their bikes.
November dates and booking details coming soon!
