Art For Families
Art For Families is a mixed-media art session for creative kids and their family members. The 2 hour session is unguided, so everyone is free to simply turn up and create whatever they want.
Resources on offer will be:
Magazines, books, paper and card
Glue, scissors, pens, pencils, water colour paints
Scrap materials
Beads, pipe cleaners
Stickers.
Many children enjoy making 3D structures or mixed-media collages but it's completely open-ended so their imaginations can run wild, so you might be taking a preciously bedazzled piece of recycling home with you, but creative kids will love it! It's essentially a big mess that you don't have to clear up afterwards!
And adults are invited to create freely too! It is a great opportunity for parents who want to attend our PZ Collage Club event but can't get childcare - we will have loads of the resources there for you to use.
This event is best suited for creative children and their adults who love making things. There is no age restriction, but we want to maintain a calm atmosphere focused on crafting - so it won't be crazy and messy like our outdoor events. If you have a 3 year old who will happily sit and make things (i.e. won't get bored and restless), then they're welcome! If you are a grandparent who hasn't picked up a pencil since the 70s, then come and get playful with art! Art For Families is for anyone who would love a couple of hours of arts and crafts and quality time with their loved ones. You don't have to be "good at art" to enjoy it, coming with 0 expectations is the best way to enjoy this.
The Lugger Inn will be open and serving hot drinks, food and a HUGE cake selection throughout, or you're welcome to bring your own snacks.
Please bring a bag to take your creations home with you.
Please note this is not a drop-off event. Parents must supervise their children at all times.
If you have any questions please feel free to get in touch with Tegan at [email protected].
