Getum við heyrt í rafsegullandslaginu sem umlykur okkur? Á námskeiðinu læra þátttakendur að umbreyta ósýnilegum rafsegulmerkjum í hljóð og tónlist. Með því að nota spólur, loftnet og útvarpstækni er rafsegulvirkni úreltrar rafeindatækni og fjarskiptakerfa fönguð og henni breytt í lifandi hljóðheim.
Þátttakendur vinna saman í litlum hópum, gera tilraunir með rafsegulsvið og hljóðblöndun og skapa sameiginlegt hljóðverk þar sem hægt er að skynja hið ósýnilega í gegnum hljóð. Engin fyrri reynsla af rafeindatækni er nauðsynleg – aðeins forvitni, hlustun og sköpunargleði.
Komdu og uppgötvaðu tónlist á óvæntum stöðum – í kraftinum sem er allt í kringum okkur sem við sjáum ekki, en getum heyrt.
Invisible Sounds: Making Music with Electromagnetic Fields
What if we could hear the hidden electromagnetic landscapes that surround us? This hands-on workshop explores sound-making with invisible forces – using electromagnetic field inductors and coils to capture and transform the electromagnetic activity of obsolete circuit boards and the telecommunication systems around us into audible material.
We’ll use this method as a way to perceptualize the dense complexity of digital devices in our everyday life – making the invisible tangible through sound. Working with coils, antennas, radios, and light-sensitive circuits, participants will discover how discarded electronics and ambient electromagnetic fields become sonic instruments.
No prior electronics experience needed – the focus is on exploration, listening, and collective improvisation rather than circuit-building. Working in small groups at different instrument stations, we’ll experiment with these invisible phenomena, then bring everything together through a common mixer to create a collaborative piece. We may develop simple graphic scores to guide our improvisation.
This is about discovering sound in unexpected places, making music with electronic waste and forces we can’t see but can definitely hear.
