Queer Craftivism Collective

The Queer Craftivist Collective is a friendly group of like-minded LGBTQ+ folk and allies. we host these sessions at The Higgins in Bedford. No previous art or crafting experience is necessary. We can learn together, to pursue common goals, and express our thoughts and values in creative, proactive ways. Materials and refreshments provided, just bring your enthusiasm.

What is craftivism?

The act of using craft projects as a form of protest, to help raise awareness and make change through the use of art and creativity

W hat is our motivation?

Never has there been a more important time this century for LGBTQ+ solidarity, social support, and activism. Being creative expresses who we are, how we feel, and enhances our wellbeing, individually and collectively

We all want things to change, for things to get better. And often it feels difficult to find your voice.

• If there's time for the loud, there's time for the quiet.
• I f there's time for the fast, there's a need for the slow.

We welcome donations of craft materials and we also have a collection tin monetary donations.
