Progressive Masculinity: Train the Trainer Event for Education Professionals

Date: Thursday 29 January 2026

Time: 9.00 - 16.15

Location: Academy Transformation Trust, B73 6AZ

Join us for a dynamic Train the Trainer event for school workers, delivered by Progressive Masculinity. This in-person event will provide valuable insights, tools, and strategies to help you foster a more inclusive and supportive learning environment. Learn how to challenge traditional notions of masculinity and promote healthier and more positive expressions of manhood. Don't miss this opportunity to enhance your skills and make a difference in your educational community!

Designing Impactful Interventions with Boys and Young Men

Progressive Masculinity's education programme offers a transformative approach to supporting boys and young men in schools. Engaging, research-informed workshops explore themes such as emotional literacy, healthy relationships, digital influences, and gender allyship. The programme challenges outdated stereotypes and fosters empathy, cooperation, and aspirational thinking, leading to positive outcomes such as:

  • Improved attendance
  • Improved attitude to learning
  • Improved progress and attainment
  • Reduced behaviour incidents and exclusions

This 'Train the Trainer' event helps you develop the skills and knowledge you need to deliver Progressive Masculinity workshops in your school, enabling you to support boys and young men to critically engage with issues related to masculinities in the classroom and beyond. The event equips school leaders to develop impactful strategies, programmes and interventions specific to their contexts. After providing educators with knowledge and tools to support their male pupils in exploring what it can mean to ‘be a man’ in today’s world, each delegate will leave with a bespoke plan for their school centred on evidence-based approaches, underpinned by a robust Theory of Change.
